Data Administrator

Job Description

Position: Data Administrator, F/T, permanent ; Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 9a-5p; Wage: $37 per hour; Benefits: 10 days annual vacation or 4% vacation pay, extended health benefits and cell phone bill discount.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain efficient data systems to store, organize, and manage data effectively.
  • Develop and enforce data management policies and standards specific to telecommunications retail.
  • Conduct research to determine data requirements and document collection methods.
  • Manage customer data, including personal information and account details.
  • Oversee sales transaction data and revenue records.
  • Ensure accurate and secure handling of inventory data, including stock levels and product information.
  • Establish and maintain procedures for database access, usage, and data recovery.
  • Ensure data integrity and security for customer, operational, and marketing data.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals on data collection methods, security practices, and system availability.
  • Provide insights and guidance on managing sensitive customer and employee information.
  • Write and maintain scripts for database operations, including stored procedures and triggers.
  • Lead teams of data administrators in implementing data policies and standards.
  • Support business objectives by enhancing data management practices and ensuring compliance.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in computer programming and data management.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of data security, backup, and recovery procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead projects in a fast-paced retail environment.
